These last Christmas gave me a li
bro from croissants recipes with croissants roller cutter is a small book but has very showy recipes that I will put when do hehe. For now, try to start with something simple , croissants ham and cheese, and prepare them with a pastry recipe with cottage cheese on the book.

The book is called Mini Croissants for Sophie Dupuis – snack Glaulier , and in just 60 pages that have shown a wide range of possibilities to fill our croissants.   • Ingredients for the pastry with cheese
    • 45g butter
    • 90g flour
    • 90g fresh cheese
    • 1 pinch of salt

    • 1/2 egg yolk
    • 30g of ham
    • 80g grated cheese
  • Elaboration

On the triangles of dough put a piece of ham, a little smaller , or we can put a thicker piece at the base of the triangle, covered with cheese and now we roll up the dough from the base to the tip of the triangle. When this closed roll up the ends to close the croissants and ready .

Paint the croissants with the beaten egg and bake at 180 ° C for 20 minutes.

How to choose a kitchen table

We have talked a lot about the material to be used in kitchen tables , as long health standards must be silicone (well, plastic polímertos exactly ) and must be differentiated by color for use , such as : white for vegetables , red for meat , blue for fish .

But what happens to the boards of a lifetime? Yes, we all have those at home and no longer remember or when purchased . Are they less hygienic ?

A study by Dean O. Cliver shows that whatever is said against the wood is not true.

He has always said that the boards are dangerous because then cuts them can not be disinfected are formed and because of their porosity are dangerous because they absorb bacteria and can infect food. But this is not true .

The study talks about how after experimenting with different bacteria such as E – coli or salmonella found that in synthetic or plastic tables bacteria continued to be in the marks made by kitchen knives , even after continued to clean and disinfect having multiple bacterial debris .

Rice with vegetables

The other day I woke up with a terrible desire to risotto , kept remember my mother preparing rice with vegetables and meat which was delicious and my paternal grandmother to the weekends when I was in town to visit them.
The risotto is a dish full of flavor and color , but personally I prefer the dry rice, has a special flavor .

But I really don’t  like the rice with seafood, I think it’s mainly because I never been a big fan of seafood , but it’s well !

This is a traditional Spanish food, the northern areas.
  • Ingredients
    • 1/2 leek
    • 3 cloves of garlic
    • 3 tomatoes
    • 1 green pepper
    • 1 chicken breast boneless
    • 1 red pepper
    • 1 bunch green asparagus
    • 100g shelled beans
    • 50g peas
    • 300g rice
    • saffron in
    • 1.5 liters of water
    • 1 cube vegetable stock
    • salt
    • pepper
    • paprika
  • Elaboration

Sauté the chopped leek brunoise when poche add green pepper cut into tacos, minced garlic and chopped tomatoes very fine , let pochen simmer about 15 minutes until very tender, salpimientalos and when they are soft them apart from fire , tápalos and booked .
In a pan saute the chopped and seasoned chicken , stir over high heat to brown , with 4 tablespoons of oil.
When browned add the chopped red pepper , beans and asparagus.

Continue to saute for 5 minutes and add a pinch of paprika . , The reserved sauce , water with bouillon cube and saffron.

Stir well , adjust salt and when it starts to boil let cook covered for 15 minutes the meat and vegetables are tender . After these 15 minutes we add the rice and cook for another 15 minutes, turn off the heat and let stand for 5 minutes covered so that the grain is ready.

If you want you can add other seasonal vegetables, such as artichokes , green beans, to your taste ;)

This rice can prepare as much as I miss chicken I , as rabbit or pork tenderloin .

How to keep spices

The spices come from seeds, roots or bark of plants, often have a stronger flavor than herbs come from leaves and flowers.

Either because you grow your own spices or you need to keep them, do well extend its long service life.

Spices tend to lose taste or smell especially when stored in warm places that give plenty of sunlight.

Today in this post I will explain how to keep the spices such as longer shelf life and restore the aroma as if it has them .

The easiest way to keep spices is packing them in small canisters and store in dark, dry or areas where they will not direct sunlight since evaporated oils that give flavor places. Neither should be close to microwaves, refrigerators, stoves or any source of heat and humidity.

Avoid opening the bottle on a pot of boiling water or near a source of steam as this damages them .

You can also buy fresh, whole refrigerate , do not wash , cut, or the wheels until they consume . Wrap them in a damp paper and save the package in a plastic bag , this will help them to stay fresh for several days.

Some of the spices that you can store in the fridge are: pepper, paprika , curry and dried chilies to maintain its color and aroma.

Try to keep them in a sealed container and close it well to keep out moisture from the refrigerator.

If you follow these tips you basic spices should last for about 6 months in perfect condition and storing them in the fridge will last longer.

But what if your spices have lost its flavor ? : (

It’s as simple as slightly warm them in a pan to relive a bit , the save to turn back to his boat and ready to use again :)

Also if you want you can use to make your own flavored oils and vinegars , this could count as longer life because by using a flavored oil with rosemary and thyme will give the aroma and flavor to food .

For this you only have to fill a boat where oil or whatever you want to leave the oil with some dry twigs, you leave it in a cool place where the light will not directly and soon you will have a delicious flavored seasoning for your meals or salads.

For good olive oil combines fennel , thyme , basil, garlic , peppercorns and bay leaf. And for the gift can be flavored vinegar tarragon, rosemary, mint or thyme .

Fried donuts

The weather is playing with me, takes 3 days 3 days! doing summer weather, but certainly every minute of sun per day is going to rain then = (

Hopefully as summer arrives, sun, beach … mmm ice cream.

I’d go with the donuts that are timeless :) Some time ago I posted a recipe for donuts in the oven and wanted to try his luck with fried donuts because whenever I looked at the other blogs they looked super-fluffy and yummy.

I have to find the perfect recipe, but these are riquisimos glaze and glaze oh! it’s like a food of the gods.

 

  • Ingredients
    •   175ml milk
    •    14gr fresh yeast
    •   120gr + 2 tablespoons sugar
    •  630gr flour
    • 220g butter
    •  3 eggs
    •  Pinch of salt
    •   c / s sunflower oil
  •     Cream frosting ingredients
    • 100g icing sugar
    •  4 tablespoons double cream mount
    •   A little water
  • Chocolate glaze ingredients
    • 250g icing sugar
    • 50g cocoa powder
    • 8-9 teaspoons water
  • Elaboration

Heat the milk in a saucepan until a little temple , do not let it boil. Add the salt, yeast and two teaspoons of sugar , stir well and remove from heat . We let temple about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, sift the flour and mix well with the butter , the texture should remind us to breadcrumbs, add the sugar and stir well we .

In the center of the bowl make a hole and add the milk and yeast mixture , gently knead well for 10 minutes or until dough is elastic , smooth, glossy and does not stick to hands.

Place it in a bowl, cover with the plastic paper and let faint about 45 miuntos .

When this time has passed knead 5 minutes on a floured surface to remove the excess gas.

Stretch with the roller until you have a thickness of 1.5 cm and weigh another 45 minutes left .

Now , cut the dough into circles , if you have a short shaped pastas perfect donut , but you can use a cup and a smaller cookie cutter to the center .

When tengais cut your donuts you can choose between two options: The first is fry them directly or you can wait 30 minutes for leven a little more to make them fluffier, that’s according your desire to eat donuts that day xD

I opt for the second option although I admit that cost me, but 30 minutes is not much (I say now ….)

And ready to fry, the fry 3 minutes on each side, being careful not to burn but do inside. We took them out and place on paper towels to Soak the excess fat and dejamso tuning.

 

2 As we prepare icings.

For the chocolate icing mix the icing sugar with the water and add the cocoa powder, we beat well until a texture not too liquid or thick and you’re ready to bathe our donuts. And for the icing cream mix the cream with the icing sugar, if we see that is too thick add a little water but very very little and continue beating, and oel I added red dye to take that pink color, so look like donuts the Simpsons haha.

To decorate I use colored dots and stars that had, but you can use whatever you want, you can also combine 2 different icings to make designs like the ones I have in the pictures.

I used sunflower oil so that it does not give flavored oil, but knew almost more oil to the typical donut donuts that xD.
